As a PhD student at the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Affairs, my research focuses on the intersection of environmental policy, public health, and international development, with an emphasis on quantitative methods.
I began my studies at the Evans School in September 2008; I am also concurrently pursuing a M.Sc. in Statistics. I decided to pursue graduate work to develop my quantitative skills and to gain an interdisciplinary perspective for conducting analyses on real world policy issues. I hope to apply my studies toward a career in academia at a research institution or at an international organization.
After earning a BBA in Economics from the University of Georgia, I served as an NGO development volunteer with the Peace Corps in the Republic of Georgia. Prior to starting my doctoral studies, I also worked as a health economics research associate at RTI International.
There's more academic and professional background information in my curriculum vitae. I also keep an up-to-date list of my current research and published papers, as well as some relevant links to other resources. And if there's anything I haven't covered, feel free to get in touch with me.
